Recently, many social media platforms posted criminal cases. Whether it is murder, sexual harassment, robbery, corruption, abuse of authority or other motives for crimes.
From my personal perspective, it is very sad to hear this news. Countless by fingers, many tragedies have occurred in society that their reports are always ignored or there is no follow-up from the police, which makes them believe more in the "viral" power of netizens.
Ironically, there are many cases which are always related to police institution or other authorized organizations. Those are kind of if the world today definitely shows true evidence that "the law tapers downwards but blunts upwards". This is very contrary to the term "Fiat Justitia Ruat Caelum" which means justice must be upheld even though the sky will fall.
Where is the pride of this institution as a pillar of law enforcement and justice? Have no idea where the salary and benefits you get come from? Is there no respect for the promise of the profession?
This is just an opinion that would represent all Indonesian. Police functions that do not work as they should make us wonder, what is wrong with the bureaucracy? Is not everything clearly stated in the law?
It is a shame if you have to wait for it to go viral, then initiatives for resolution emerge. Then what is the actual job of the police? If you have to wait for netizens to go viral first?
Again, what about those who report to social media but do not get viral? They have been silent in a corner waiting for God's justice. It is a pathetic!
